Who I am: Home construction and remodeling have been a big part of my life including restoration of an early 1800’s log cabin in the Rockies, design and construction of 2 story log home in Montana, and renovation of 1930’s adobe in Gila, NM. I love the challenge of visualizing what a structure can become and discovered that I have quite the knack for it. Same goes for landscaping and gardening, I just can’t seem to keep my hands out of the dirt or off the drafting board. After a full career with the US Forest Service as wildland firefighter and wildlife ecologist it seemed natural for me to step into a career as real estate professional. It has always been in my bones to work with people or animals to help find the right combination of place and environment, whether it be hiking a trail or planning a big trip. To me, real estate transactions are not much different than managing complex logistics of a fire or figuring out the perfect habitat to meet ones needs.
What I do: I ask questions and I listen, then together with my client we build the most effective course of action to meet the client’s wants, needs, and desires. For a seller this might entail staging their home to maximize it’s appeal, finding the sweet spot for market value, and bringing the best buyers to the table. For a buyer our strategy always includes detailed communication and an action plan to find the best fit home or property to match their criteria. Nothing makes me feel better than to make the magic happen.
What I also do: Life is too short to not enjoy every day and no problem is too big that it can’t be solved. Like a garden, there may be a few dirt clods or rocks that seem to be in the way, but with a little tending and some gentle maneuvering, most gardens will produce a bounty of beautiful flowers for all to enjoy. This is how I see buying and selling properties; it just takes some thought and a little maneuvering to make it all turn out right. I never shy from a challenge instead I strive to find solutions.
How I work: I make it a priority that all parties are heard and respected. I want everyone involved to know and believe their interests and goals are always at the forefront, held in the highest regard and above mine at all times.
